He was born in Rome in 1969. A film, television and stage actor. He is the only son of Giacomo Rossi Stuart, a well-known actor of Italian westerns (1931-1994). He made his acting debut on the big screen when he was only five years old, in the film Fatti di gente per bene (1974). At the age of 14, he left school and family home to start a career in acting. He played a minor role of a peasant in the historical drama Der Name der Rose (1984). A two-episode adventure film Il ragazzo dal kimono d'oro (1987, 1988) and its 1992 sequel got him noticed. The role which brought him international acclaim was Prince Romualdo in the Italian fantasy series Fantaghiro (1991-1994). The actor won Pasinetti award at the Venice Film Festival for the part of Jesus Christ in I Giardini dell'Eden (1998) by Alessandro D'Alatri. He also played a Pole working at a crossroads in Rome, a brother of the leading female character played by Agata Buzek in Peter Del Monte's drama La ballata dei lavavetri (1998). He attracted viewers' attention with the role of proud Silvano in Michelangelo Antonioni's Al di la delle nuvole (1995). In 1996 he won François Truffaut Award at the Giffoni film festival. Lucignolo's part in Pinocchio (2002) by Roberto Benigni brought him a nomination for David and Silver Ribbon awards. Along the Ridge is directorial debut.
