Leaps&Bounds

He was born in Oslo in 1960. At the beginning he worked as a screenwriter, director and theatre actor at almost 30 stage productions. Since 1997, he has been the director of Oslo Nye Theater, where he soon became known for promoting modern dramas and focusing on young audiences. In his theatre he staged the first theatrical version of stories about Elling, Elling and Kjell Bjarne, based on the novel Brothers in Blood by the famous Norwegian author, Ingvar Ambjornsen. The play was a great success and was acclaimed by both critics and audiences. Petter Nass made his debut with a comedy Absolute Hangover (1999), and in 2001 he directed the cinema version of Elling.
